Just over two weeks remain until the official start of the wait period (March 11th) and CT athletes have been keeping busy. While a handful have been able to enjoy perfection on the Gold Coast produced by Cyclone Gita – and here’s to hoping there’s more where that came from come contest time – others have gotten more creative, like Filipe Toledo here.
Why battle the thicket of crowds up and down the Goldie when you can up your wave count at the often fickle but equally rippable cobblestone points of El Salvador? It’s a riddle with a straightforward answer: don’t. And now we humbly present to you a very in-form Toledo who we’ve got our money on for a solid result at the season opener on the Gold Coast.
