Pedro Pisco is a man many have never heard of but he’s played a major role in shaping Nazaré into what we know today. A native of Portugal, Pedro saw great potential with Nazaré and found a way to put this little town on the map.
This little corner of Portugal offers a beautiful coastline, a fantastic history, and is home to thousands of hard-working men and women. Among its breathtaking terrain, it’s housed a beast for many years that few people knew the full capability of until recently.
Dino Casimiro headed the Nazare project along with Paulo Caldeira, Paulo Salvador. This team found a way to utilize their network and change Nazaré forever. Dino reached out to Garrett McNamara and told him stories of waves that were topping 30 meters. Without hesitation, Garrett was in. Once they saw him catch his first Nazaré wave, Pedro and Dino knew that there was something special here.
