The Inertia

It’s no secret that Hurricane Narda did some pretty wild things in Orange County. Newport Beach was at its barreling best and the Wedge absolutely went off. It’s been a few weeks since then, but we’re still seeing the echoes of what was truly a special swell. The latest pro to post footage of tackling “Gnarly Narda” is Mason Ho, with an edit from none other than the Wedge.

It turns out Ho was actually in town to surf chlorinated waters; the Palm Springs Surf Club, to be exact. But in times like these, the siren song of the salty sea cannot be ignored. Though it was a bit of a journey from PSSC’s inland locale, it was all more than worth it.

“Driving back and forth from Palm Springs to Newport Beach was quite the journey for this islander, but it’s always worth it for some barrel visions right on the sand,” read the caption.
