Comedian Louis CK was on point when he skewered our society’s proclivity for superlatives. I don’t recall which special it was, but essentially he goes on a tirade about a conversation he heard in a coffee shop in which someone described a mildly interesting story as ‘hilarious.’
But that’s the thing. How many times do we type LOL when we’re not actually L-ing OL? I know I do.
Problem is, the reaction waters down actual moments when you laugh out loud. Or, say, spit up on yourself.
This Instagram video did just that for me. I laughed so hard I temporarily lost control of my mouth. I hope you do too.
