Like any other mortal being, Nate Yeomans has savored the sweet taste of victory and the bitter tang of failure. In 2009, Nate was on an absolute heater. A string of great results projected him on stage with the big boys and competing on the professional world tour. Things were looking up for the San Clemente native. Shortly after qualifying for the 2010 World Tour, Nate got off to a slow start and eventually fell victim to that god-awful mid-year cut that used to be in place, relegating him back on the ‘QS – but this time without a main sponsor. Nate, however, is not one to admit defeat so easily. Plus, everyone knows he’s one of the most talented blokes to ever step foot on a surfboard.
After taking home the win at the 2014 O’Neill Coldwater Classic, Nate has been given a chance to live out his dream, once more. Fortunately, O’Neill had the wise idea to make a documentary out of it, and, like every other Yeomans fan out there, we can’t wait to see it. In the words of O’Neill: “This surf documentary will follow Nate on his quest in 2015 where we will get glimpse into where Nate has come from and where he is going.”
