This week, the #InstaFlavorOfTheWeek is the above shot by Mark Fitzpatrick taken on the Gold Coast of Australia. “Where the city meets the surf” was his caption and it’s a description that resonated with us given our current location: Venice, California. What set off the whole image from our standpoint was the combination of water and wave clarity and the sense of calm we felt upon scrolling over this image. These days, it’s unfortunate how rarely we surf alone in good weather and clean water with noticeable swell. Especially on the Gold Coast. Or Los Angeles. Actually, in those two places specifically, it’s (near) impossible. Hats off to you, Mark Fitzpatrick for capturing this moment in time and being our flavor of the week.
