If there is one thing that is blatantly obvious about Italo Ferreira, it’s that the guy is having fun. As in right this moment, Italo Ferreira is having fun. Take it to the bank. He’s somewhere on the planet as you read this with a big smile on his face, expending an inhuman amount of calories with the bottomless pit of energy he carries everywhere. Instagram stories are as likely to feature the former World Champ dancing and laughing as they are to showcase his surfing.
It’s a safe bet his job doesn’t hurt the whole happiness routine, either. He surfs all the time. That’s the actually his top responsibility. But then, of course, there is the occasional obligation like meetings with sponsors and stuff. You know, go into an office building and shake hands with business people who kind of still have to act in a professional manner from time to time. At least that’s what you’d imagine an appointment for Italo would look like when he dropped into Red Bull’s HQ in Salzburg, Austria for a meeting.
But then he saw the oh-so-pretty little lake that surrounds the corporate office. And having also seen a winch stashed nearby, he decided to take on the Executive Producer role of their scheduled photoshoot.
“Let’s shoot some clips with me going at least 80 km/hr…”
