The Bells event hasn’t been mind-blowing. It’s not classic Bells conditions–but it’s better than Snapper was. A wave pool would be better than Snapper. Although the waves had some size, the blustery onshore conditions didn’t make things easy for competitors. But the great thing about “the world’s best surfers in the world’s best waves” is that when the former doesn’t show up to the party, the latter is still there. When the waves aren’t great, the surfers still are.
