If you’re gonna get somebody from Hawaii to actually leave Hawaii, it’d better be worth their while. A trip to mainland Mexico in early summer is high on the list of places that are likely to fit that requirement. And while most of us would come away from Mex very content, it’s hard to imagine the average Joe racking up a quality wave count quite like Jackson Dorian’s. The son of Shane churned out 20 minutes of highlights from this trip alone, broken up into two separate edits (so far). By this point, Jackson’s been in Mexico for a week and he’s clearly putting in some work.
“My favorite thing about this part of Mexico is the waves, for sure,” he says. “It’s super productive. Perfect, spitting waves. You can basically just try whatever you want over and over again until you get it right. Get some muscle memory. Confidence. And getting your boards all dialed in.”
