Surfing bigger waves can be intimidating. Surfing bigger waves when you can’t actually surf all that well would be much more than intimidating. But Tomo, the freckle-faced young man behind the camera that films Jamie O’Brien doing all of the things he does, didn’t seem phased at the prospect of taking on a big Mexican beach break—and on an inflatable toy, no less.
It worked out pretty damn well, too. After a few bombs, Tomo took a second on the beach to gather his thoughts. “That was the best experience of my life,” he said. “I just need a minute to comprehend what happened. This raft is priceless.”
It’s all part of a trip to Mexico the JOB crew took that includes all the regular things a JOB trip to Mexico includes: big waves, giant barrels, and a bunch of other weirdness.
