“Whenever I see skateboard kids, I think those kids are going to be alright.” – Jerry Seinfeld
This came across our feed after Unofficial Networks (quick hits for all things viral) posted it yesterday. And while older, cut from a Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee episode produced in 2013 where the two were pulled over speeding in a 1969 Lamborghini Miura P400S, it rings both loud and true and deserves reposting.
At the diner where the two comedians — who happen to be two of the most famous comedians ever — are grabbing a bite, obnoxiously wealthy heavily syndicated funny man Jerry Seinfeld expresses an outward admiration for skateboarders, specifically citing their perseverance. In my mind’s eyes, the same goes for surfers, snowboarders, skiers, mountain bikers, climbers… basically any and all action sports enthusiasts. It takes an undying passion and relentless commitment to continually develop and grow in those pursuits.
Take that, high school guidance counselors!
