The Inertia

Did you see John John Florence’s View From a Blue Moon? If you haven’t, stop now and go watch it. It’s not hyperbole to say that it very well could be the greatest surf movie ever made.

The film is an hour-long affair, which is a rarity in today’s world. Especially when considering that it’s an hour-long affair that focusses on JJF himself, mainly. In general, feature length action sports films are comprised of a handful of sections from a number of people. View From a Blue Moon was three years in the making. John partnered up with Blake Kueny and Brain Farm (the folks behind The Art of Flight and That’s It, That’s All) and used helicopters and some crazy cameras to create something pretty dang magical.

But, as you might imagine, three years of filming a film that includes a handful of spoken lines lays the foundation for outtakes. And John John Florence recently decided the world should see a few of them.
