The Inertia for Good Editor

This time of year we all ramp up our focus on just how gnarly the North Shore of Oahu can get. But you can understand why. Sure, there are other stretches of coast in the world that gift us amazing waves. But something about the power and consistency of them is different on the North Shore. And few other places have so many phenomenal waves nestled into a tiny little dot on the globe, making that Seven Mile Miracle moniker well deserved. But the outer reef at Pipe isn’t breaking every day. Sunset isn’t triple overhead seven days a week. And Waimea Bay takes its fair share of off days in the winter too.

But we don’t always get to see those days where the waves are a little more “Ho! Looks so fun out there, huh?” (still with plenty of kick in them, trust me) and a lot less “Dude. Heavy…”

So here’s Jordy Smith, Bede Durbidge, Jack Robinson, Noah Beschen and few others making the North Shore look as rippable and fun as ever.  No maxing Off the Wall or broken boards at Backdoor here. Just “Ho! Looks so fun out there, huh?”
