Kai Lenny routinely does things in surfing that no one else is doing. He does them because they’re fun to him, and despite a very vocal crowd of detractors that, for some reason, can’t stand to see someone else doing something they don’t like, he puts all of his energy into increasing how much fun he’s having.
That fun came in the form of a hydrofoil on one of the world’s longest waves. “It took 45 hours of travel to get to Peru from Namibia,” he wrote on Instagram. “First thing I wanted to do was go Hydrofoil one of the longest waves in the world, Chicama.”
