After a long film festival circuit including a premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, the long-anticipated flick, Momentum Generation, will finally be available to watch at home this December on HBO.
If the premise of the film didn’t carry enough gravitas for you – it’s a retrospective on the group of surfers that comprise the so-called “Momentum Generation” including Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Shane Dorian, Taylor Knox, Pat O’Connell, Kalani Robb, Benji Weatherley, and Ross Williams – it was also produced by Robert Redford.
The official teaser above is the most we’ve seen of the film so far, and it looks really solid.
Earlier this month, HBO announced it had acquired the television rights to Momentum Generation in the U.S. and Canada. It’ll premiere on December 11 at 10 p.m. and be available to stream on all HBO platforms.
