This could have gone very badly. Fortunately for professional kitesurfer, Olly Bridge, a harrowing 600-foot-plus leap over a sandspit in his native Exmouth turned into the jump of his life recently.
Bridge captured the jump on his GoPro and can be seen avoiding a sizable sand dune and seawall as he touches down back in the water on the other side.
We feel obliged to reiterate here that Bridge is a professional and former European kitesurfing champion and advise against trying to copy this stunt unless you have at least as much experience.
