Here’s something we can all relate to: getting stuck on the inside is not fun. Especially when the swell is shorter period and the waves are coming at the beach with size. Take a wave a little too far in and you’re going to get smoked for about 10 minutes until you time your duck dives correctly, score a quick break in the surf so you can crawl your way out, or give up all together and head for the beach.
That’s why Koa Rothman’s recent video he posted of himself getting annihilated on the inside at Rocky Point hits home. You got to give it to him, he’s not afraid to give it to us raw. And this is him taking a 100 or so waves on the head just to remind you and me that it happens to the best of us. Yes, getting caught on the inside can really suck.
