All waves aren’t created equal. That’s just a fact. And it’s actually a beautiful fact if you sit and think about it.
Take Desert Point for example. Save our Aussie friends living just south of Indonesia, getting to Lombok requires a significant amount of dedicated travel time. And consider how many people still take on this trip, knowing that of all the other waves in the world they could have sought out, this one reeling left-hander will be there waiting to churn out barrels with machine-like precision once they arrive.
But with all that in mind, most of us aren’t actually going to show up at Desert Point and score the kind of tube time Leonardo Fioravanti, Lee Wilson, and Chris Ward do here. It’s actually kind of obscene; they all spend more time getting barreled in this one edit than most of us will in a year or sadly, a lifetime.
