When wave pools well and truly entered the surfing foray, it wasn’t long before surfers wanted to see something other than a standard shortboard used in them. There were calls for the boogie. There were calls for single fins and twinnies and logs. And, for the most part, those calls have been answered. Leonardo Fioravanti decided to lie down on a foam chunk for an insanely deep tube. This guy rode a longboard but didn’t really surf the wave like he was riding a classic log. Well, leave it to the Relik team, consisting of Jared Mell, Taylor Jensen, and Soleil Errico, to step onto the log and surf Kelly’s wave like it’s Malibu.
