The Inertia

There are places you go and things you do that you know will be harsh or difficult. Some would argue that makes them worth doing. Some would back away. But having a true adventure means knowing the risk, or potential downside, and doing it anyway. Full bore. Not letting up despite the less-than-ideal conditions. After all, if you experience the same thing day after day, year after year, for the rest of your life, you can’t truly say you’ve had an adventure.

So next time you’re headed to surf, go somewhere new. Meet new people. Surf a new break. Look around the next corner. If it doesn’t pay off, keep looking. Or head back to sweet familiarity and keep wondering, fantasizing. But if it does pay off…well, tell us about it below. We want to hear your story.
