This is what we’ve all been waiting for. Old school vs. new school. Grom vs. veteran. Protégé vs. coach. Old-fashioned vs. modern. Peter King takes a break from his traditional manner of filming to bring us a classic man-on-man matchup with John John Florence and his coach Pat O’Connell. Pat O’, being the good coach he is, makes sure his star student is lathered up with some good ol’ Banana Boat SPF 30 before paddling out. What a great guy, right? John John got the nod on this one by judges Joel Turpel and Brett Simpson, but I wonder what the WSL Head Judge, Richie Porta, would have to say about this. What do you think?
