A few years ago, Kelly was still rocking Quiksilver boardies with cute little pockets he used for “beach combing and shell collecting.” And, according to Kelly, he even hand-stitched his signature on every single pair that went out. All seven of them. As you can imagine, he started to develop a pretty severe case of carpal tunnel syndrome, but that didn’t matter. Kelly’s balls were completely rash-free, and he loved those boardies for that.
Forget the fact that Kelly is trying to sell you trunks (that is, unless you suffer from chronic ballbag rashes, in which case you should totally buy them) and check out the first two turns of this video – they’re abso-fucking-lutely delicious. Man-turn written all over them. Ain’t it a shame the WSL decided to leave this lovely wave off the World Tour? Let’s hope they come to their senses next year.
