At the end of 2016, Marc Lacomare destroyed his knee. The wave that did it was a thick one, but, like he says, you “got to pay the price sometimes.”

The injury kept him out of the water for over a month. He concentrated on his rehab, counting the days until he’d be surfing again. As it turned out, he was surfing again just in time for the Hossegor local to score a few of the last big winter swells.
