Being a professional surfer is a tricky game. The surf industry, like many industries, can work with no rhyme or reason at times.
Take Marco Giorgi, for example, who is currently ranked 43rd on the ‘QS. And despite his talent, determination, style, passion, and the fact that he’s good with the ladies, he’s one of the many surfers out there chasing a dream without a main sponsor.
Recently, Marco shared a video he edited himself bluntly titled Looking for a Job, and a wave of solidarity followed. Guys like Adriano de Sousa, Yago Dora, Nic Von Rupp, Lucas Silveira, Ian Gouveia, and Everaldo Pato jumped into Giorgi’s corner to push the edit out for the world to see as well as remind us that there are plenty of guys out there grinding for opportunities to make surfing their “job.”
