For surfers, pursuit of the endless summer is probably one of the biggest misnomers promulgated by the non-surfing public (mostly because of the iconic film). Summertime in both hemispheres may produce a handful of swells of consequence, but rarely. For the most part, winter around the world is when waves can really crank.
British surfer Mark ‘Egor’ Harris, like most surfers, is aware of this fact. À la Bruce Brown turned upside down, Harris pursues the European version of an Endless Winter, traversing some of the regions best known waves with friends. In episode 1, Harris links up with Basque surfer Kepa Acero to tame the wild beast that is Mundaka.
