Mason Ho’s got a thing for surfing differently than the herd. Different boards, weird waves, his own style — it’s all part of what makes Mason so different. Recently, Mason and Sheldon Paishon took on a wave that breaks directly onto a jagged reef. And since Mason is Mason, he decided that taking his mini surfboard out would be a good idea. “Mason first tries his 4’9”, 20-liter mini surfboard …Lost Rad Ripper and almost dies,” the YouTube description reads. “Then he goes to a normal size board and trades off waves with one of his best friends.”
Now, we’re going to go ahead and say that “almost dies” might be a bit of hyperbole… but we’re also going to ask if maybe, just maybe, Mason and Sheldon should wear a helmet and some knee pads the next time they surf this wave?
