When Mason Ho and Dylan Graves team up, weird waves don’t stand a chance. Both surfers are known for their exploration of raw, untapped surf, and they recently used their talents to tackle a tropical slab wave in Puerto Rico.
The moment comes from the latest post to Mason Ho’s YouTube channel, where fans of his are accustomed to seeing him take on a series of nearly un-surfable waves, usually on the North Shore. This time, he ventured to lesser-known territory.
Luckily, he had a local guide, pre-eminent expert on strange surf Dylan Graves. Graves is a uniquely well-suited companion for a Puerto Rican slab-surfing excursion, since he was raised on the island by a pair of surfing parents (one of whom even owned a prominent surf shop in the ’80s).
Unsurprisingly, the pair absolutely tore it up. Check out the full video below.
