Meñakoz is one of those waves that doesn’t even wake up without a solid swell. And for that reason it’s reserved for Europe’s best and bravest big wave hellmen. There are rocks everywhere. Big rocks. Big rocks that sometimes poke their heads out of the water when you’re cruising down the face of one of the most dangerous waves in Spain’s Basque Country.
But boy is this one picturesque wave. And here she is waking up one last time in 2015, with some solid surf, some fun looking surf, and even a few of those rocks and crazy currents she’s known best for.
