The number of Pipe barrels ridden between these two guys is likely to be somewhere in the thousands. Michael Ho, father of professional surfers Mason and Coco Ho, is often referred to as the “godfather of the North Shore.” And if there is anyone who can drop in on Mark Healey without a single hoot, Mike Ho is the dude. Similarly, Mark Healey has put in his time out at Pipe. He is a great ambassador of the sport whose willingness to share a wave with Mike Ho is a simple testament of his respect for an absolute legend. Comradeship at its finest.
