Ever since Mikey February’s short stint on the Championship Tour, we’ve grown accustomed to seeing the man favor more alternative-esque craft. Think single fins and twinnies in MFeb’s trademark knock-kneed approach (see also: this great little edit of Mikey at an unnamed African point).
The internet’s memory may be short, but it wasn’t long ago that Mikey February was exclusively riding thrusters with a singlet on. And if, by chance, you forgot what that looked like here’s a primer from a recent day at Lowers.
Mikey reminds us that with the proper equipment he’s capable of a loft or two for good measure. And even though Mikey burst on the scene after Trestles was axed from the CT schedule, this little edit also has us pining for the time when the world’s best would take up residence at Southern California’s most rippable wave for a week every fall.
