What a fantastic idea for an edit. Take 13 team riders from a surf and snow brand, load ’em in a van to travel across Europe and do two of our favorite things: ride snow and waves. And one of the best places to do that these days, surprisingly, is Switzerland. In Quiksilver’s latest edit, the “mountain and wave” gets everyone riding snow on the glacier at Sass Fee, then loads the crew up for a trip to Alaïa Bay wave park, the Swiss Alps’ latest attraction.
Best takeaway? Mikey Wright snowboards, quite well actually, and it’s fun to watch Austen Sweetin, Travis Rice, and Bryan Fox, among others, get their asses kicked by the barrel section at Alaïa (a sweet bit of editing there). Because we never get to see that in normal social media clips from these guys, with even a few wipeout clips from the snow, too. But mostly, it just looked like really fun shredding with a little Hossegor mixed in for good measure.
