The Inertia

For southpaws or even regular footers that are backhand inclined, New Zealand is a dreamscape. The north island’s most famous break, Raglan, is well-trodden by now. But, given the population of N Zed is significantly less than its sheep population (recent stats put it at about six sheep per person), explore and ye shall find.

Recently UK-based surfer Oli Adams teamed up with 6x New Zealand national champion Billy Stairmand to explore the island nation, and man they scored.

“I was born in the UK but spent a good portion of my childhood living in New Zealand,” Adams told The Inertia. “After many years since my last visit, I wanted to go back and capture the feel of the magical green land, and the long lefts that make it so special.”
