Nias looks like a regular-footers dream, looks being the operative word. The grinding righthander – a stone of consequence in Indonesia’s bejeweled crown – lit up recently, and Mikala Jones and Marlon Gerber were there to get a couple.
Unfortunately for Mikala, his trip was cut short when he took a header into the reef. A week later a doctor pulled a chunk of reef out of his face. It goes to show that as tantalizing as Nias might appear, sometimes you’ve gotta pay the skin tax to play.
