This has been one hell of a summer south of the border. If you’ve had your eyes trained on Puerto Escondido, you’ve been treated to a constant stream of living room-size barrels, cringe-worthy closeouts and a number of beatings. Even an unbelievable skimboarding stunt and a new angle on the place. Phew, what a summer. The best part? It’s not over yet.
By comparison, Nic Lamb’s barrel featured here is on the tame side. Just a simple drop (with a little falter), set the rail, hold on for dear life, and get blown out the other end like a fire hydrant, right? Ha! If only it was that simple. This wave is in the running for the 2015 Billabong XXL Ride of the Year for good reason.
