There’s something about the Big Apple. By and large, New Yorkers ain’t afraid to let their freak flag fly. That goes double during a stifling heat wave just days before the Fourth of July (when flag flying is apparently mandatory nationwide).
In light of temps well above the 90-degree mark, NYC-based Youtuber Casey Neistat had the hairbrained scheme to wakesurf, wakeboard, and drone surf in the East River to escape the heat. The backdrop is absolutely legendary, though the water quality is definitely suspect. Still, you’ve got to admire Casey and his crew for their originality.
