It’s been a bad week for the Pipe Pro. Wild, wooly, and unruly conditions have forced organizers to call lay day after lay day. On December 14th, a 20-foot swell slammed headfirst into the seven-mile miracle, and it wasn’t perfect, by any means. Shit, the bike path in front of Sunset almost fell into the sea. But on Maui, though, things looked a little different. At the fabled Honolua Bay, after a morning of warbly conditions, everything came together. Mark Anderson, Dusty Payne, Ian Gentil, Ocean Macedo, Kevin Sullivan, Ian Walsh, and Will Hunt were among the lucky few who happened to be there.
