Have you heard the name Perry Gershkow? If you have not, you could be forgiven. He’s not a person in front of the camera, he’s the man who points it. It the way he points it, however, that is notable. Perry Gerskow shoots some of the prettiest pieces of moving images in the business—and not just the surfing business. He’s worked with Volvo, Levi’s, and Mazda, just to name a few, and the difference in the quality of a surf film created by a real industry pro is obvious. What you see above is his 2018 showreel, which is comprised of some of the most beautiful surfing footage we’ve seen in a long and a little bit of his commercial work… because as we all know, something’s gotta keep the lights on.
