What’s worse, getting whomped on by a slab or taking a two-by-four to the balls? It’s a question that not many have asked, but YouTuber and surfer Poopies sought to answer in his latest video.
Though fans of Jamie O’Brien have long known Poopies from his appearances in the North Shore barrel-hound’s vlogs, he was introduced to the general public as one of the new additions to the Jackass crew in the 2022 film Jackass Forever. He recently reprised the role in this year’s Jackass: Best and Last, where perhaps his most notable performance was a stunt in which he attempted to cross a high beam while wearing an electric shock device on his penis. The results were about what you’d expect.
Poopies opens his latest vlog with a nod to the classic Jackass opener: “I’m Poopies, and this is going to hurt,” he says to the camera, shortly before coaxing a crab into pinching his nipple, then screaming. Later on, the video includes a paid advertisement in which a plank of wood is catapulted into his testicles after he loses a game on his sponsor’s crypto-based gambling site.
However, while the humor is decidedly sophomoric, there is also a hell of a lot of impressive surfing going on. Accompanied by JOB, Poopies suits up in an inflatable vest and paddles into some legitimately huge surf.
The man’s lack of fear was almost his undoing at one point, though, when he paddled out in conditions that turned out to be a little bit beyond his abilities. “That was a bad decision,” he said from the beach, after being retrieved by a nearby Jet Ski operator. “I don’t know what I was thinking, honestly. For some reason, I thought like I was going to make it out but I was so far from making it out. I saw these bombs coming and I waved for Axel. I’m just so glad he picked me up. Axel’s my savior. I would have gotten destroyed.”
