The Inertia

On Wednesday, July 15, Australia’s east coast was absolutely hammered by a Tasman low. It set off a lot of bombs along that fabled coastline, but none went off as loudly, perhaps, as Deadman’s.

Forty to 50-knot winds blew a sizable mid-period SSE swell towards the coastline, and with it came waves of pretty serious consequence. Of course, since we’re talking Australia, those willing to come out swinging were not in short order. The day had plenty of wideouts, plenty of busted boards, and plenty of hero moments.
