The Inertia

The southeastern tip of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, otherwise known as the Los Cabos region, is rife with natural beauty. Most tend to associate the place with spring breakers and nightlife. But, for the traveling surfer, the capes create a number of zippy right-handers (and one left!) in some of the bluest water you’ll ever wade into. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

If your interest ain’t piqued yet, what if your next jaunt south included the likes of Rob Machado, Damien Hobgood, and Timmy Curran? Oh, and you could win for just $10 bucks.

Here’s the skinny. SurfAid has teamed up with Omaze to put together a 4-day, all expenses paid trip to Cabo (that means flights, lodging, the whole shebang) with Rob and crew for one winner. 100 entries will cost you $10 and if you throw down more money, you get more entries. And all the funds raised go to support SurfAid’s numerous health programs in rural Indonesia.

So what does the trip entail exactly? Here’s what the Omaze campaign page says: “You and a friend will meet these pro surfers for a four-day excursion in Cabo San Lucas, where you’ll catch waves with the guys by day and unwind to Timmy and Rob’s acoustic guitars by night. To add to the adventure, you’ll even spend a full day enjoying paradise from a super luxury adventure boat (yes, it’s a thing) where you can surf, snorkel, stand-up paddle board and free dive. Plus, you’ll stay in the luxurious Surfer Villa at The Cape Hotel with a private patio, direct beach access, and multiple mouthwatering restaurants to choose from. Whether you’re a seasoned surfer or just getting your toes wet, this is the way to do it. Flights and three nights at The Cape Hotel are on us.”

Only the best. We promise.
