Shane Dorian is a living legend. World tour surfer, big wave icon. He’s held onto legend-status for a long time now, and it seems that he’s doing his very best to pass along the crown to his son, Jackson. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, as the saying goes, but Jackson’s got a very strong neck. Already, he’s surfing at a level far beyond his years. Shane is raising him in a way that makes it look as though he’s shaping up to be one dang fine childhood.
Occy, of course, has known Shane for a long time. As another living legend, they’ve likely done and seen some things together that could fill a few books. Here, in a recent installment of The Occ-Cast, Occy catches up with Shane and Jackson to talk Bloodlines, the scariest wave Shane’s surfed, and much more.
