A few weeks ago, Subaru challenged us to take an adventure – a road trip we’d been meaning to take for a while. Mexico was the obvious choice. Baja. But there was a twist. Along the way, we had to check something off our proverbial “Surfing Bucket List.” Somewhere, on every surfer’s bucket list, resides the age-old task of shaping a surfboard. With the guidance of Bryan Knowles, a valued contributor, friend, and founder at San Clemente-based surfboard outfit, Ride Anything, we managed to try our hand at crafting a little Mini-Simmons. And gained a whole new respect for shapers in the process.

Learn more about our adventure here, and be on the lookout for a reflection on our time in the shaping bay (and getting skunked in Mexico) next week.
