The Inertia

Since we work at a website, we watch a LOT of surf videos. Too many, really. In an effort to bring you all the goods, there aren’t too many that we miss, especially if they’re really good. The one above, however, we missed. And we’re sorry about that because you deserve to watch it.

Every now and then, if you’re really lucky, the stars align. The swell is a perfect direction and a perfect size. The wind is blowing just right. The sand bars are pristine, the tide is just right, etc. It takes a lot for EVERYTHING to line up… but every now and then, it does. Such was the case at Sunset Beach, when the same north swell that green lit Red Bull’s Cape Fear event banged into the coastline. Locals called it the best swell ever, and when the locals there are throwing out claims like that, you know it’s good. So here, in all its glory, is a video that’s been online for two months. It’s not new, but it is GOOD.
