Since it is said that more people speak Mandarin than Hokkien and Hakka in Taiwan, we’re sticking with xie xie. Anyway, Surfing Life shot a movie they’re calling Slang, and they’ll be releasing it in three parts over the next three weeks. This first installment is of Kai Hing, Luke Hynd, and Eli Steele surfing, skating, and shooting fireworks in the Republic of China.
It’s a rather beautiful edit that gives us a glimpse of what isn’t traditionally known as a surf spot. The only confusing portion is that at the 6:40 mark, the boys are surrounded by Japanese people speaking Japanese. Is Japan the next leg of the journey?
