The Inertia

Professional surfers are kind of a big deal in Brazil, if you haven’t heard. If you need any proof just reference the fact that guys like Gabriel Medina, Alejo Muniz, Felipe Toledo and Miguel Pupo swim around with their own Brazilian national team jerseys. When Medina became the first Brazilian ever to lock up a world title last year the rest of the surf world threw the entire country under a microscope. The infatuation had been brewing for a long time, but that title marked the official beginning of searching for an answer to one question: Who’s next?

Gabriel Medina and Felipe Toledo are headed to the North Shore within reach of a second world #1 for the Brazilian storm. But here they are with fellow countrymen Miguel Pupo and Alejo Muniz showing their best stuff when they have some home cooking in their bellies.
