Ian Thurtell has been shooting stills for a long time now. Based in Cape Town, Thurtell’s approach to taking pictures is one that translates into the rest of life. “To dive into the ocean and into a world where there are no distractions, noise, and see things some people have only dreamt about is a privileged experience,” he says. It’s something I guess, a lot of us have taken for granted.”
