When one thinks of a typical surfing destination, Jamaica probably isn’t the first one that comes to mind. Surfing is a relatively new thing there. Ivah Wilmot is on the forefront of the new-ish surf culture that’s formed there over the last two decades. He showed Parker Coffin, LJ O’Leary, and Nate Zoller around in Roark’s latest installment, and talks about how different the Jamaica surf scene is. “It’s almost not touched by the world you know,” he said. “It’s still in its rawest most pure form.”
