Everyone loves a good wipeout. Mostly because we’ve all been there, and it’s nice to see that we’re not along. Of course, there are a few of these that are probably not exactly common mistakes… nor should they be. @kookslams might just be the greatest Instagram account out there. You should follow them.
1. Honestly, this is frustrating. How can so many people blow that take off? At least the first guy got a little tunnel vision.
2. No one likes kicking themselves in the back of the head. Except scorpions, and they’re built for it. This kid isn’t.
3. In the longer version of this video, his wetsuit is also on backwards. Someone at the rental place probably should’ve asked him about something related to surfing before letting him leave the store.
4. Always remember to time your entry. Especially on a boat. How close is this guy to making it over, though?
5. The greatest part here isn’t the frog-legged desperate board grab, it’s the full on sprint out of the ocean. What are the chances she went back for round 2?
6. If Robbie Maddison were on a jet ski, he would try something like this. Only he’d probably make it. Nah, he wouldn’t.
7. Piers are built to stand up to the fury of the ocean. Your face is not as strong as the fury of the ocean.
8. Really feel for this guy. It looks as though he’s setting up for one his first barrels… but it doesn’t quite happen. Keep at it, buddy! If you’re not dead!
