When Pipeline wakes up from its summertime slumber, it is a day unlike any other. The excitement whips through the air like the spray coming off the feathering lips. It’s as though the ocean feels it, too, and it is just as happy to see everyone as they are to greet the new swell. And on October 27 and 28, the world’s most photogenic wave shook off the sheets and came out to play. Some of the best surfers in the world showed up for the welcoming party, many of which can be seen in Connor Trimble’s beautiful edit above. Captured from the air, land, and in the water, Trimble shows the beauty of the place from all angles, and we like what we see.
