Kelly Slater learned to surf in Florida. The waves in Florida are notoriously sucky, except for those rare occasions when they’re not. But Kelly Slater, along with a handful of other Floridian surfers, defied all odds and turned into some of the best surfers in the best waves in the world.
Tahiti, on the other hand, has some of the best waves ever. Of all the places on earth, Tahiti’s perfect waves sit at the top of the list. And with surfing’s boost in popularity, a new generation of ridiculously courageous youngsters are using their dangerous playground into a training camp. Matahi Drollet is leading that charge, but just behind him sit a whole bunch of other hyper-talented, absolutely fearless guys that will, without a doubt, turn into grown-ass men that defy what is possible on waves of consequence.
